I have developed a very strong passion for teaching over the last 20 years or so, and have refined my methods to encompass a wide variety of learning experiences. In addition to using a combination of team and individual work, lectures and tutoring, and free experimentation, I have developed an educational strategy based on a strong integration of research and instruction. My strategy is focused on the integration of teaching/learning and prototyping on the one hand, and exploration/research on the other hand. I train my students to explore and to develop new knowledge through their involvement in the research and industrial projects that I am able to facilitate.

I am truly convinced about the importance to develop a teaching plan that couples my research activities. I have successfully experienced that co-working with students greatly inspires and feeds my research vision. Accordingly, I would like to use my research vision and experience to design novel courses that are available both for undergraduate and graduate student at the Oregon State University.

With the benefit of numerous, long-standing collaborations and projects I have with European and international companies, my students have received vital hands-on, workplace opportunities that I believe played a very important role in the development of their critical thinking, conceptual problem solving, and practical artistic design skills.

Within my courses, I like to stimulate students thinking about not only how to solve problems, but also how to integrate information to ensure societal impact and improvement in the quality of life. I thoroughly enjoy investigating how humans design and interact with both real and digital products, how innovative technologies enhance and inspire the creative process, and I try to transmit this passion also to my students.
